It depends on how well it was taken care of. You said he has all the records, so I'm assuming it was fairly well taken care of. If there's very little rust in the engine compartment, it should be okay (it's a Honda). Don't worry about scratches, all used skis are going to have some (as long as there is no fiberglass showing). You said you've already taken it for a ride, so that's already done. You might want to have a compression check done on the engine just to be on the safe side, but there's a guy that rents them in Hawaii who has some with over 1800 hours on them. Just make sure to do your regular maintenance, flush it after every ride, & spray everything with CRC 6-56.
As for the trailer, that's a different story.LOL
