sorry missed your message - changed my flipping notifications settings! Yes I ride on Candlewood most weekends (live pretty much on it). Honestly, if you're looking for the lake to yourself weekdays are for sure empty, literally no one. Weekends are busy but the lake is massive and easily enough room for everyone. I personally like the bigger boats as they leave a lot of chop to jump after them. In years gone past (before I moved here) I was told it was like hell but after going out every weekend it's good right now in my opinion.

I don't gas up on the lake as I hear it's VERY expensive. Echo bay I know does it which is near 'down the hatch' (restaurant). I personally launch from Squantz cove and fill up in town in New Fairfield. I think you'd easily get a whole day out without having to fill though.
