I'm considering buying my first PWC and could use some expert advice.

I plan to go in salt and fresh (mostly) water, the PWC will have to be able to carry three. Since the passengers will likely be family members, I'd like a PWC that is dependable and is comfortable.

When I am by myself, the horns will come out so it must also be fast (not necessarily the fastest), should be able to tolerate jumping within reason, should be maneuverable (willing to give up a little stability here), and be durable.

Depending on how much one that fits the bill will cost new, I may shop for a used one

My questions are:
1. Does such a PWC exist? Make? Model?
2. Anyone want to review the type of craft they have?
3. Any recommendations as to where I can get reviews (ie not marketing hype)?
4. Other than looking for hull damage, exhaust smoke, jammed/damaged impeller, What should I be wary of in a used PWC?

Thanks in advance for whatever advice you can offer.
