I'm interested in buying an older Honda ski. I can't find the "30 minutes" link you keep referring to. Can you send a link?

The IHI Garret turbo is an F1 type with ceramic ball bearings and can turn up to 150,000 RPM. If you take it apart to try repair it, there is is no one who can rebalance it and IHI Garret will not sell parts for it anyway.
Contact Aurice and Ramon who sell a retrofit turbo kit for about $1200 or may have a stock turbo laying around. They are very honest and great to deal with.
Make sure your exhaust manifold it not leaking water into the turbo or it will ruin the new one.
I have several posts on PWCTODAY.COM that cover exhaust manifold leakage and turbo issues.
    Enjoy your toy.

    Hi jrinjax,
Another member told me that you were the Honda expert.
I removed my turbo from my F12X. It will not spin freely. I can turn it by hand, but it won't spin at all. Do I need to replace the turbo or is there something I can do to bring it back to life?
    thanks for any help,
    GregBR549

Just to the front of the engine, under your left thigh is a black knurled knob up next to the side of the engine bay that sets the idle. The knob is on the end of a flexible cable that makes it easy to adjust. Make sure your plugs are good or it will skip and your idle will be too low. The plugs can be ordered from Advanced Auto Parts.
