I am about to trade my boat for these 2 machines: 1997 Sea Doo GTI/1998 Sea Doo XP Limited

I noticed they are alot less horsepower than the newer machines I was on all summer last year. What can I do to maximize performance? Potential HP and of course speed? I don't want to dump a bunch of money into them at first, but would like to begin to get a boost.

At the same time, I don't want to start having all of this work done to it that could possibly do more damage than good. Make sense?
