Talking Why are super jets better then kaws for freestyle?

I'm an isolated would be freestyler in central IL. I have a 650sx and a 750sxi and have spent time on 550s and sxrs... but can't help noticing most all of the pro freestylers are on yamahas.. What makes the super jets so much better ? Can't even find a place to rent one anywhere near here to find out for myself. Would love a list of pros n cons from people in the know.
Thanks all
Long live stand up skis !

I ride Kawi's also, but finaly got my first chance at a modded 701SJ yesterday and it was a large difference. It liked to cut and take corners alot better than the Kawi's in my opinion.

i rode a 701 and did not like it, got a 650 and 550
reason why is that the SJ is better than the sxr

The SXR is a great closed course ski... very fast n stable , but too heavy for freestyle, even compared to a SXI in my opinion. I'm happy with the cornering of my Kaws "650sx-750sxi Ocean pro plates, solas grates" more power helps to pull out of deeper turns of course "SXR "
What tricks are easer to pull off on a super jet then a kaw ?
Is it just that the super jet wieghs less ?
From videos they seem to support more wieght on their nose "or maybe I just wiegh too much.. 180lbs "

Thanks again to those who respond

SuperJets do weigh less. The hull seems to break loose easier from the water as opposed to a heavy kawi. Kawi's are for carving around bouys unless you get an aftermarket lightweight kawi hull from Wamiltons.com, Trinity Composits, or similar aftermarket co. Eric Malone uses a similar bottom deck on his EME skis to the SXR. He says the hull sticks better when landing rolls.
There are many more freestyle parts to buy for a superjet too.....alot more aftermarket companys are making freestyle parts for SJ's than kawi freestyle parts.
I couldn't even imagine trying to barrel roll a kawi. Just way too heavy....I'm talking like 50 lbs. more than a SuperJet.
It's all about HP to weight ratio when your doing ariel tricks. If all your doing is hood tricks, a kawi is good to learn on. It's what I started with and just about every other one I ride with started on. Everyone always ends up with a SJ though.

my .02 cents

,Jimmy
