Calling all USA racers! Jettribe will be going to the World King’s Cup in Thailand this December for the third year in a row. Jettribe went to the King’s Cup for the first time in 2009 to scope things out and try to sell some gear. However, we soon realized that it would be awesome to take a team of riders over to Thailand to represent the USA. Last year, for the first time, we took a team of riders over to Thailand and they had a blast. The team, headed up by Tony Vo, consisted of Christine Milone and her husband Louis, Derek Correll, Jeremy Schandelmayer, Wilson Tai, Chelsea Schneider and her dad Gary, and our photographer John Cutright.

This year we are looking forward to taking another team of riders over to Thailand, which is where you come in. If you are interested, please contact Tony Vo at tony@jettribe.com. Our team last year had a very eye opening experience going overseas and interacting with a whole new culture. The sites, sounds, tastes, and smells were all new to the team and they eagerly welcomed them with open arms. They saw firsthand how friendly and accepting the locals were considering we were Americans who knew absolutely none of the Thai language. The racing was also slightly different and the riders were excited to see that the TJSBA definitely rolls out the red carpet for the racers. At the opening ceremony there were many dignitaries and even live entertainment. What more could you ask for?

The King’s Cup will be held December 1-4. More details to come later as the date gets closer. If you are interested please contact us as soon as possible to secure your spot on the team. Please note, you do not have to be a
sponsored rider in order to be part of the Team USA.

I just got back from Melaka in Malaysia and I’m proud to tell you that we have won the top class which is Pro Am Runabout Open. It was a very tough race with Toshi Ohara of Japan who is sponsored by Quakysense but we finished better in Jettribe gears!!! Hahaha I’m pretty sure that we have represented our products to them as some have asked about our products. Jettribe is psyched that this year will be the 30th anniversary of the IJSBA World Finals! Jettribe has been attending the World Finals since the birth of our company because Havasu is right in our backyard. This has to be one of our favorite sites, especially since it has so much history behind it.

This is the place where champions are made and even the most unlikely contestants can win a world title because anything can happen out here, which is what makes it so exciting! It is also a great opportunity for US racers to interact with other fellow racers from different cultures and make lasting friendships.

Not only is there hot racing and freestyle action for a week straight but you can’t help but love the gorgeous sunshine, warm weather, and beautiful scenery that Arizona has to offer. The warm weather is also a huge plus for the racers who come from cooler climates.

And let’s not forget all of the awesome people that we get to meet at the Finals. We can’t tell you how many cool people we’ve become lifelong friends with since we started attending this amazing event. We can’t wait to see them all again this year!

Oh and we almost left out Vendor Alley! You can’t go to the World Finals without taking a stroll down the Alley to see what all of the different vendors have to offer. Although you may get worn out from a walk in such hot weather, but I guess that’s why the Monster Energy bar is so conveniently located at the end of the road!

We’re looking forward to the World Finals, which take place October 1-9 of this year. We hope to see you there so we can celebrate another World Finals birthday!
