Default Newbie taking on water

My first find was a cracked o-ring on a drain plug. I resolved that, but the ski is still taking on water. 2005 GTI LE RFI. I've run the flush procedure, but couldn't see a leak. I've been underneath and it looks like it got grounded on some rocks at some point (I bought it used) and there was some maintenance on the bottom plate (not sure of the name). I feel like I just need to get real anal on this, but any "quick checks" would be appreciated.

Fill the inside bottom of the hull with water and look for a leak on the outside.

Thanks. I had tried this before and that is when I found the o-ring issue, but did not find another hull leak. I assume that I don't want to overfill the hull. The SeaDoo has a "lower area" in the engine compartment. Of course the leak could theoretically be above this, but the only are that made some sense to me is where the bottom plate attaches to the hull, but I didn't see any leaks last time. I'll try again.

Look for a loose cooling hose connection or exhaust system connection. That is the other popular leak sites.

If your machine has "VTS" (variable trim system) check the boot in the back by the pump for rips or tears. Also grab the VTS module inside the hull and see if it is loose. It is held on by a large plastic nut and o-ring. Your will need to remove the boot from the back and have a special tool to tighten it. Use a little silcone sealer around it as well. I just fixed a machine with the same problem.
