Default newbe need advise

Hello to all on this forum, I do not yet have a pwc but will get one and need to know what make is best overall quality? Any and All suggestions wanted, I have read some negative things on the new Kawasakis the 300. How about seadoo or yamaha, I am guessing its between these 3 right? May buy new but may also buy between the years of 2003 and 2005. thanks to anyone offering advise.

Give us a little more info and it will be easier to make specific model recommendations. Like, will you ride alone or have multiple riders, tow a tube, ride in salt water, want to go fast or doesn't matter, will be riding in rough water or calm, plan to do your own maintance, or let the dealer do it, your maximum budget...............the more info you can give the better recommendations you will get.

Default general information wanted

I just need to know if one brand is considered higher quality than the others or if they are all about the same quality as far as paying for maintenance wheather it is done myself or by a mechanic.

Ok it is like this, when you buy a Jet ski you are not buying just the ski. You are buying the company who made it and the dealer network who services it. Having said that generally speaking the top two brands by sales volume and and technology are Seadoo and Yamaha. They are the only companies who not only have the most models to choose from but also manufacture jet boats. Thus illustrating their strengths and devotion to the sport. In my opinion Kawasaki is the weak sister of jet ski companies and will most likely discontinue manufacturing due to lack of sales and an inferior dealer network. As far as reliability goes they all are mechanical machines and will have failures here and there, but in the long run the quality of the companies will prevail. That is Seadoo and Yamaha.

Good luck in your search.
