Default Overheat? Or cavitation issue

Hi guys, very new to pwc. Bought a 96 sp? 587 engine, ski was running hot, and had a neew wear ring installed. Ski still gets hot 10 minutes in the water. I noticed it gets air bubbles in line coming from head. Took it all apart, no sand, corrosion or restrictions. If I take line off impeller and hook garden hose up as if it were the impeller pushing water, it NEVER gets hot. Sound like wear ring/high pressure zone is messed up? Any inpit

Not very likely that it is due to cavitation. If it were the pump it would have to be so bad that the ski would have very little , to no forward momentum. Remove the cooling line at the pump and check lines from the pump to the motor for obstructions. How did the head gasket look?

I pulled EVERYTHING, but the head off. I check all parts, lines, elbows, cylinder walls for sand or obbstructions, but all was in tact. Tried known goodd exhaust pipe, no change. After about 10 mins ride time, heat sensor goes off. Head cover is hot, can boil off water if put onto spark plugs. If I run garden hose thru flush side, it stil has air pockets in head vent tube. If I unhook flush hose, pinch line off to dump at back, UNHOOK jetdrive hose, attach garden hose, there are ABSOLUTELY no air bubbles any where. Even flushing created air bubbles... So can it be bad plastic elbow thru hul at jet pump/high pressure zone? Has new wear ring installed.

I took off drive unit. Prop has a bunch of nicks, and somebody tried to "sharpen" the fins. Has new wear ring, but gap is .009 -.012 .. Bearings are tight, can these nicks cause air bubbles into block? I have pics, but dont know how to upladd pics. I can email to sommeone who can possibly upload them.
