I've heard there could be some issues with the turbos on these models? I live in Florida so most of the use will be in brackish water or salt water. Does that have any effect on the turbo? I have read to test the wastgate lever to make sure it moves freely. Could someone please give me a basic rundown of what to look for and what to test when looking at a ski, especially one with a turbo? Just want to be sure I make a good first decision. Last thing I want to happen is I buy a ski and it ends up breaking on me every other time I go out. Any advice would be helpful.

Buying an 8 year old ski can be a crap shoot. Just because the hours are relatively low doesn't mean that it is in good shape, how it was maintained does. Rust never sleeps. The biggest problem I have seen on here with Honda turbos is the waste gate sticks open or shut and corrodes badly if it is not flushed and lubed after EVERY ride. If that goes bad you can't replace it without buying a new turbo, YIKES $3,500.00 for that. This is very true when used in salt/brackish water. Personally I would never buy a ski from a company who has stopped making them. I don't care if it is a "HONDA". They didn't stop making them because they sold too many....JMO
