Default Motorcycle engine in jet ski

So I am wondering if anyone has attempted to put a crotch rocket engine into a jet ski. I have searched all over the net and can't find anyone who has done it yet. I know it would be difficult but I think that it can be done. I plan on using all of the gauges and ecu off of a newer rocket. Anyone seen this or have any advice?

I haven't seen this conversion, but anything is possible. What hull and what bike motor were your thinking? Weight is always a concern so you might have to go with a bigger hull. Some of the new hulls already have 150-200+ HP motors stock so the power increase might not improve much. It all depends on the combo you choose. Should be a cool project, make sure you post pictures of your progress.

The Yamaha MR1 engine (in the VX, and FX) skis is a modified R1 motorcycle engine.....highly modified. One big Problem with a standard motorcycle engine, is how are you going to cool it (you would have to use a liquid cooled engine)? Also, how are you going to connect the pump.........you need a drive shaft? Plus ski engines do not have transmissions, but gear reduction drives built into the crankcase, because the pump can't be driven but to a certain speed without self destructing. I can't ever see it being cost effective, or ever matching the performance of even an entry level ski.
