Question 07 Yamaha FX HO Hesitates off the line

I have a 07 Yamaha FX HO getting off the line it struggles to me feels like it is cavitating for approx 15-20 seconds after that once it is on step no issues.
Would like to get your opinion on this and if anyone has ran into this and can help me fix this problem.

Once it gets going are you hitting 10000 rpms at WOT? If so, then you have the classic signs of a worn or damaged impeller and/or impeller housing. You need to pull of the intake grate and take a good look at the impeller and housing. Check the clearance between the blades of the impeller and housing with a feeler gauge......should be less than 0.45 mm at all blades. Look for dents and nicks in the edges of the impeller blades. Look for gouges in the impeller housing. Usually fixed with a new impeller. Sometimes the housing also has to be replaced as well.

Yes I get WOT just boggs when I am taking off,Thanks I will check that I purhcased it that way and ran it for the past year, I thought I had a rip hose or something. I am going to bringing it home from storage in the next month or so and I will drop the the grate.
