Default Thoughts on Finishing Bunks

Just wanted thoughts on my idea to rebuild my PWC Bunks. I wanted to use a pressure treated wood but it seemed to be to wet and flexible coupled with the fact that all the fasteners I could find recomended not to be used with treated wood. I was just going to use plain 2x4s and first stain them with a decking stain and then spray an automobile rubberized undercoating on them, finish wrapping them with the marine carpet from Lowes and tack them with monel staples.......Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum! Redwood works pretty good if you don't want to use treated lumber. That rubber coating might not adhear to the wood because of the oils in the stain. I would try to get stainless staples so they won't rust and fall apart.
