Default Remove battery for winterize or not?

I have done some minimal research on this forum and others, but I cant find anything to keep me from leaving the battery in my Seadoo for the winter. I live in Texas and store my Seadoo in my garage. I have it connected to the pigtail adapter of the trickle charger and it is in the Seadoo. Can anyone provide reasons for removing it? It's not the biggest deal to remove it, but if I don't need to, its just one less thing to do. Thanks in advance for any info.

I leave the batteries in my motorcycle which is kept in the garage with a trickle charger attached. I take out my lawn mower battery and also jet ski battery because they are kept, outside. Then i use a trickle charger on them in the garage. Of course the temps can get down into the teens at night on rare occasions in my neighborhood. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the info. I figured it was ok, but wanted to get a few opinions. I'm new to maintaining batteries and engines and just want to do the right thing.

I agree with Docpaul. If you are storing your skis or other toys in cold weather it is a good idea to remove them and store them inside on a trickle charger. It has been my experience that the cold weather kills the batteries. I live in SC and doesn't get much below 10 degree every but the batteries I have left in my toys are always ruined. Why take a chance.
