Default Submerged Waverunner 1200 need advice

My waverunner was upside down for two hours Monday evening, turned it back over, bailed the water and tried to start. It tried to light twice then died completely. Took it into a dealer who could not get it to spark, even by crossing over says I need something called a CDI and stator box (electrical box) just to get it turned over. They have fogged the unit as best as possible but not able to burn out all the condensation. Says I'm looking at about $800 parts and $200 labor just to get it cranking. Does this sound right to you? I know time is of an essence here. Thanks
