Default help

Just bought 94 bombadier and it is trying to start itself without pushing the starter button...Have take the switch out of play, does the starter have a solenoid on it????? If so how hard is it to get off and where is thing located. don't have parts break down.

The starter solenoid is located in the gray plastic waterproof box next to your gas tank. You will have to remove the battery to access it easier. Disconnect the two small wires (one should be yellow/red can't remember the other one) and perform an ohms test across the battery connection post and the starter connection post. It should read as an open or OL switch. If it reads closed or with low resistance it is the starter solenoid. Bombardier did a design change on the solenoids years back so if you get a new one don't be surprised if it doesn't look like your old one. You will have to do some minor modifications to wiring connectors to make it work.
