Default Parking the ski in lake question

What is the best way to park a jetski at the lake? I could park it next to the dock but I'm afraid of some neighbors not abiding by no wake zone rules in the cove that it will be in, they come out of their docks at full throttle with no regards to other peoples property. My uncle would somehow tie his ski up and it was off the beach and away from the dock, I'm not sure how he did this but I feel it would be he safest way to keep my ski out of harms way. Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much for looking.

My friends and i always use an anchor with a slip buoy and hook on the rope, leave it so that you can adjust length of rope depending on water level

If you have enough room just put an anchor out. Put a floating buoy on the rope and a spring loaded clip and you'll love how easy it is to hop on and go. I wouldn't recommend this setup for permanent mooring but for a weekend it's awesome.
