I've been away for 8 years now but looking to get back in. I use to have a '97 sea doo GTI and it was very depenable just not alot of hp. I'm looking to get another 3 seater and I'm leaning towards a sea doo or honda. Any models to stay away from? What year did sea doo fix there sc problem? Are the yamaha's better then the others? Any info would be very helpful.

The stainless steel thrust washers came standard on 2007 seadoo skis and up. However alot of the ceramic ones have already been replaced on some of the older ones.Seadoo is a more logical choice than Honda. Honda quit making skis in 2009, so parts and service are scarce. Also their Turbos are not dependable unless you are a very diligent owner and lube the actuator rod often that controls the waste gate or it can very likely stick open or shut due to corrosion. I don't know if your using it in salt water but Seadoo has closed loop cooling. Seadoo's dealer network is excellent, the Austrian 4-strokes are very dependable.
