Default New PWC owner

Just bought my first PWC, it is a 2000 kawasaki stx 900. I paid $2800 for the ski and a brand new sea lion trailer. The ski is in very good condition and the engine is strong and responsive. It does 50 mph which to a first time user seems fast enough. I had so much fun this past saturday I am already wanting to hand this one to the wife and get another. It is funny to me because I fish competively and always hated the early PWC riders in the early morning while I was fishing and now I realize why the hell they were out there tearing it up. I have converted. LOL! I like the look of the sea-doo 130 and always heard good things about yamaha. I guess I will be going shopping soon.

Hello and welcome to the light. I always try to stay as far away from fisherman when I see them trolling or shutdown out of respect and my safety. A fish hook to a leg can do some damage.

What is your budget and what type of ski are you looking for? Seadoo skis 2000 and up are good choices.

Don't really have a price range. Just like the look of the sea-doo 130 or the 155. speed is not a real issue for me. As I said my stx 900 does 50 and that seems fast and I'm sure the sea-doo 130 or the 155 is faster than that.

Welcome to the forum! I started with similar intentions and it escaladed to buying a 2008 supercharged ski and I'm pissed it'll only go 63 on the gps

Anyone know the fastest ski without a turbo / supercharger? Was looking at a new kawasaki 300x and man all the electronics and features almost turns me off because if something fails you will be paying out the noise to fix it. Sometimes (almost always) simplicity and reliability is better.
