I'm curious about how to get on in deep water (like in the bay) because I've never owned a pwc before and I'm looking at a 97 seadoo xp. I've seen people do it where they can stand on dirt and jump. Is there a trick or just grab onto what you can and pull yourself up. And also if the ski flips in deep water how do I get it up again.

Use your knees. Try not to flip the ski, if you know you're going to fall off let go instead of capsizing the machine. If you do flip it look on the back there should be a sticker showing the way to turn to get it upright. This is very important to not get water in the motor.

Hopefully you have a boarding step. If so it is easy, just go to the rear of the ski and pull down the spring loaded foam covered step. Next just kneel on the stepand reach for the rear hand holds on the seat and pull your self up as you get up then stand on the step and get on. I have never rolled a ski but there is a right way ,like Yamadoo said it is on transom upside down so you can read it when you flip it.
