Ok, first of all we have some things in common i.e. salt water and brackish water useage, Seadoo four strokes and the maintenance there of. Now can you imagine if you had open loop cooling? Your motor would be trash by now from not flushing it. At least the parts that went bad don't cost too much.
So having said that, that would rule Yamaha and any other brand ski out due to their open cooling systems. Thats not to say you can't use those other brands in salt water, just that you have to flush them out every time or corrosion will set in.
Yes flushing your engine will help stop corrosion, as well as spraying CRC 6-66 anti corrosion bay all thru the engine bay.
I live Delaware and ski mainly the Chesapeake Bay and Ocean City Maryland.
As far as the RXT-iS goes I own one and there are good points and bad points, About that ski. Send me a p.m. if you want to know more about that. If you want a three seater the RXT-X is the deal. Two seater the 2012 RXP-X is bad ass. Check the GREEN HULK forum there are VIDS on it.
So hands down Seadoo is the choice for your needs.
Flushing out when down is optimum but

not as important as open loop systems cuz now your runnin salt thru the engines cooling system. YIKES
