Default 95 kawasaki 750 SXI overheating

I've owned this ski since 96 always used in freshwater. Ski was bogging the other day. I thought maybe carbs so when I brought it home I took them apart and cleaned them. Took it back out yesterday and realized it was overheating. I know it sounds stupid but I never thought to check. The water coming from the pisser is full stream but it's scalding hot. Not sure if I did any damage. No hose melted or busted. After I rebuilt carbs I ran on the garden hose and it ran fine. Compression is 151 at both cylinders. While in the water yesterday I pulled the cooling hose off connected at the back of the hull and water was pouring out from the jet side. I pulled the hose from the head to the head pipe everything looks clean. Before I take everything apart any suggestions as where I should look first. Ski is completely stock. Thanks

Default 95 Kawasaki overheating

Sounds familiar. I am working on my 93 this weekend. Did you find a solution? I plan to start at the rear and work my way forward. Have tried hooking up to hose and works fine so the guess is there is a clog somewhere from the pickup to the manifold.
