Unhappy 1997 Sea-Doo Swamped

Swamped my 1997 Sea-Doo 2-stroke. It sat for a few days before I got to it. Now it runs ok sitting on the trailer, but bogs down when I rev it up for awhile. It's as if the bearings are heating up and grabbing the crankshaft. It stalls real fast. Then I am able to start it up again right away, but just idling I hear it bog and stall. Is this engine trash now, or is there an easy fix for this condition.

Had this happen to mine. You may have an engine full of water. Pull the plugs and crank it a little bit....you'll be surprised how much crap blows out of it. Clean the plugs, put them back in and start it up again. You may need to do this a few times to finally get it cleaned out.

You have the same issue I did....do it again...them pull the plugs, hit the starter, then clean the plugs and do it again.....you may need to do it 3 or 4 times. It will eventually clean out. Once it does, put it in the water and run it for awhile. Hopefully everything will clean out ok.

if you cover one spark plug hole with your finger while cranking, it will help to push the excess water out of the exhaust. dont give up. sometimes it takes a while to flush out. if yours is carb. turn off fuel valve while flushing. if fuel injected, unplug pump or crimp line. this will prevent crankcase from filling up with fuel.

ok, thanks for your comments, but when I crank w/o plugs, nothing comes out except dry air. The problem is when the engine heats up, it seems to want to cease up and die quickly. I am tempted to try it in the lake. Maybe this is a land thing. I did notice the port which usually pees out a stream of water is only trickling some water. The water jacket is cold though so I know the water is circulating through the exhaust jacket.
