Default Tough decision

I Am buying a ski. It's narrowed down b/w a 2001(2stroke) yam gp1200 with 60 hrs and a 2003 (4stroke) honda aquatrax f-12x with 120 hours. The compression is good on both skis. ANY OPINIONS?

Personally I'd go with the GPR because I prefer a 2 seater for the added agility. What is your situation? Will you be riding with a passenger or towing tubes, etc? If so get the F-12x.

Only thing I know about the Honda is they have some issue with the turbo. The GPR can be a very dependable machine with a few reliability mods.

1) Wave eater clips for the powervalve pivots

2) Cat Con delete and D plate/chip installed.

Look on the greenhulk.net forum store I think they sell the clips and d plate. However ask the owner first if he already did these mods.

I bought the 1200 today and the ski is completly stock with 30 hours on it. Where can I find out how to do the modifications and how hard are they? I am pretty handy I am not a mechanic but I just pulled the engine out of my vx110 had it rebuilt and put it back in. These are just things I am not familiar with at all so any info would be great.
