Red face SeaDoo bogs down

1997 Bombadier SeaDoo 2-stroke bogs when I get into it. Happens occationally. Bogs for 30 seconds or so, then takes off - all at part to full throttle. idles ok, except occationally sounds like it misses and when it misses feels like the engine is going to come apart. some of the time it has great power and performance.

History: unknowingly filled haul with water by spraying yellow jackets' nests in open hood. never thought it was filling up the haul. daughter took it out and swamped it. must have sat with water in it for two weeks. wet electronics?

I am assuming when it was you flooded you did not remove the spark plugs and crank the motor to get any water out of it? However your issue sounds like the gray fuel lines are clogged with goo and need to be replaced. Here is thread on the subject:

What model Doo is this BTW?

Ok. Thanks for the tips. This is a yellow '97 Bombadier Seadoo XP. Yes I did pull the plugs and crank all the junk out. This is the second time it has been swamped. The first time I was able to blow out the water within one day. This time I couldn't get to it until about a week. What worries me is it sat with water in it for weeks before my daughter decided to take it out.

The grey line issue seems unlikely, since the sled operates great when it's flying around the lake, but when I idle her for awhile and then try to take off, she bogs for some time until she decides to take off again. It's worth it to take one of the lines off to see if there is green gunk in the line, though.

I found it interesting that one guy bypasses his fuel bowl and selector in an effort to rid of PWC issues.
