Default stumpeddd?!?

My 1989 js 440 runs great bhooked up to a hose but once on the water seems to load up and bog. Im new to this pwc site and being an owner. Any ideas?

Have you checked the compression? Typical for a worn out top end to run great with no load, but bog when you load it in the water.

I'd post that question in the Kaw section for a better answer, but generally for 2 cylinder engines you would look for around 140-150 psi, and for 3 cylinder engines 110-120 depending on the model.
