New to this forum, and been riding Seadoo XPs for several years. Planning a switch to the 2 seater Honda. I was told that the R-12X's last year was 2007. Can anyone confirm? I have been all over the internet and cannot find an article saying this.

Second- has anyone switched from XPs to Honda Aquatrax? Why and were you enthused or disappointed?

Selling my 03 XPDI if anyone is interested.

I switched from Yamaha GP1200's to Honda arxt1200 in 2005. The last year for the 1200 was 2007 model and they are still available new at some dealers. The Honda being FI and 4 stroke was much smoother and easier starting. I have had issues with my Honda starting with my second season, whereas I still have my 97 and 98 GP1200 (the 98 ate a piston after 7 years and 150 hours though)

Rick, what kind of issues have you had with your R-12X? Are they typical? I have read threads here about different issues, but this is a small segment of owners and ppl post here to find solutions, so I wasn't concerned. Did they make changes to fix problems between 04 and 07? Should I avoid a particular year when I start shopping?
Any insight will be helpful. Thanks.

From all that I can see, the 2002-2007 do not seem to have changed much. The shop manual covers all those years and I dont see any changes in parts or specifications. When I look under the seat of the 2007 it looks exactly like my 2005.

My 2005 was a missile (70 mph with 2 people) and would run out to 7100 rpm. The following season, it was much slower and I was convinced that the turbo was not boosting. I just this year found out it wasn't producing any boost but a solenoid fixed that. But this year my eng wont rev past 6200 rpm
and three dealers say they cant fix it.
