Default oxygenated fuel

I am new to pwc ownership w 2002 and 2004 F12's. Owner's manual says ok to use gasoline w up to 10% ethanol. Some local retail outlets have advised against any use of fuel with ethanol saying ethanol affects rubber components of fuel system. What has your experience been? Ok to use ethanol fuel or stay away from it altogether? thanks

My 97 Yamaha GP760 wouldn't even start after two full tanks of 10% Ethanol.
Some snowmobile techs told me to dump in Stabil Marine with every tank and it now starts easily. Gas stations here in NC don't have to label ethanol content on pumps so it's hard to know.
Can't speak to the rubber degradation...yet.
