Everyone is saying that I am crazy and that I am just used to the power of my ski. While it is not a turbo (on F12 not F12X). My ski seems to have lost a great deal of it's low end power. We have used this ski primarily for towing each other on the wake skate. When we first started the ski had enough power to about rip your arms off or yank you out of the water. I couldn't hold it back if I had too. After 1 year of towing it seems to have slowly lost its ability to get me out of the water; however the top end does not appear to be affected (still hits about 52 mph). I have no upgrades, it is completely stock. I have to slowly work my way out of water column, and can even hold the ski back (while it screams) if I dig into the water with the board from starting position.

Any one have any ideas? I can't imagine my grip got that strong or I got that much fatter!! New plugs have been tried, oil changes, nothing in the prop etc? Any input would be great!

I would say to check the prop on the ski, possible that the prop itself is becoming nicked up and would account for some of the loose of power. That is the first place I would look, also check the gap between the prop and the tunnel where the prop is located. Excessive wear in prop or gap can cause this problem. Good luck.

Thanks, I plan on getting a solas impeller and switching it out. The tunnel can wear out? I would expect the fins to get damaged, but I wasn't thinking about the actual tunnel being out of wack..??.. Being that I don't have a turbo, do you have any suggestions for a prop to give me low end power w/o sacrificing much top end? Anything else I can do? I am a big guy, and the little surface area on the wakeskate requires a decent amount of thrust to get me up. sometimes it takes me a full 20 seconds before I can slowly work my way to the surface. I want a boat, but this is the wrong economy to go making that financial mistake! Thanks again, you confirmed my suspicion.

Not real sure on the impeller to use that will do well with what your looking at. Take care of yourself keep inshape that will help you with the strength and weight issues. I wouldn't suggest buying a boat either in these financial times, expect a crash and buy at the bottom, alot of people will have good deals on boats soon and ski's. Have a good and safe summer.
