Default fx-12 35mph after water injestion

I did the stupid trick of putting the thing in the water and forgot to put the plugs in. It got lots of water in the hull. I started it and I think it injested some water. It died and it wouldn't turn over very fast. I pulled the plugs, spun it, and water comes out of the spark plug holes. Put it back together, and it won't run but about 35 mph. It is hard to get started and it feels like it is missing.
Any ideas???
thanks,
Greg

OUCH! Hydro lock! I'm gonna guess you bent something internal in the motor. Water WON'T compress so something has to bend or brake. Valve or rod or a cracked head. This sucks! You will have to take to a service shop for repair.
Suggest installing a bilge pump in ski and porting out the side just incase this were to happen again, when you see it kick on you know right away whats happening. Boat is taking on water!
