I am planning to buy a honda 2003 aquatrax turbo 3 seater with 10 hours only and take it to costa rica for salt water use. It is true that the turbo is not working fine with saltwater & get damage in few hours of use? And there is problems with the oil warning light?? Any advice please???
The turbos/wastegates/actuators require being frequently sprayed with an anti-corrosion lubricant whether they are used in fresh or salt water.
I am not aware of any issues with the high/low pressure oil lights. Be sure to inspect the turbo for corrosion before you buy it and also make sure when riding it will turn 6K RPM without generating any malfunction alarms.
Be sure that you flush the ski every day with fresh water without fail.
Thanks for the advices: I will have to learn more about the jet ski secrets. I know when i go to costa rica in the middle of the ocean it will be difficult to get help, parts and advices that's why i need to be prepare.
