i have an 07 honda 12X and when i take off it sounds like it is hitting the rev limiter for a few seconds. its just like if you were to put a car in neutral and hit the gas!! but it only does it for a couple of seconds!! is this normal?? if not what can it be??

How hard are you launching? and you can see if it is by checking the tachometer.

Modifying the stock intake grate by removing two of the bars from it will help a lot and allow room to get your hand inside to remove debris from the impeller. You can also just buy a Solas aftermarket grate from Iboats.com which will slolve the problem too.
