Default Any trick for removing Impeller blade?

I need to remove the impeller from my 2004 Aquatrax F12. The manual suggests a special tool that looks like part of the shaft spline attached to a fixture.

Does anyone know of a technique to unscrew the impeller without a special tool? Also is the impeller shaft size the same as a boat propeller shaft?

Thanks!

When you buy a replacement Solas impeller, you can also purchase the impeller tool for just several bucks. They are also on Ebaymotors under Honda PWC parts and acc.
You have to remove the cone and chuck the flat shaft under it into a large vise and then put a large pull bar to pullt on the impelller tool to break the impeller free. Use red locktite and torque the new impeller back to 105 ft lbs since some of them backed off and ruined the pump.
More info on pwctoday.com in the Honda forums using the search feature.
