Default unstable ride

Hello i just bought my first pwc its a 2003 Honda aquatrax R-12x turbo model with 70 hours. Took it for a ride yesterday evening and the motor runs perfect but the body wants to rock side to side i feel like its going to throw me off so i havent gone over 28 mph yet. And the steering seems off like it wonders alot. Is this normal? If so im gonna sell it lol. I even tried to ride with my wife after to see if the extra weight made a difference...I had it idling at like 3 or 4 mph and went to turn so i turned the handle all the way to one side and we both went for a swim...it happened twice. Granted this is the first time i have ever ridden a jet ski it shouldnt rock back and forth. Please help and advice is greatly appreciated.

I think you just need to get used to riding a PWC. You have to somewhat keep balance. Try riding some more by yourself, you should get the hang of it after a few hours. Remember the R12 is small 2 seater so it won't be as stable as a 3 seater. The thing where you turned the handle bars all the way with a passenger and lost balance, that's very normal with the extra weight. You have to shift weight to compensate for the lean.

My 02 F\12 (3 seater) will do the same thing, feels kinda squirrely at average speeds, but power up and she'll flatin out for ua, It's actually worse when my wife is on! I know the lower the fuel level, the worse it gets!

I've fallen off at 60 mph, not fun, I almost dislocated my shoulder a couple years back. don't worry about fallin off at 70 mph, cuz your ski tops out at 60-62 mph.

FWIW, I have spent a fair amount of seat time on a F12X and my seadoo RXT back-to-back. They're both 3 seaters. I definately noticed on the Honda if you are idling and circling it will want to roll to the inside of your turn. Once you're in the well (bull riding term) you gotta wack the throttle wide open to pull out of it or let go of the handlebars because it's coming over. I haven't noticed any of the mid speed quirks you mention though.

Same thing happened to me the first time I rode my 2 03 FX-12. I took my wife with me and just turning in iddle we went both to the water (the worse, she does not know how to swim so she does not want to ride them no more) and the same day my son capsize the other one in the same circunstances with my brother in law as a passenger. The good part is that, first, I am not the only one LOL, and second when you get use to them there is a lot of fun (not for my wife LOL) so speed them up and be careful
