Hi all!

I am installing a crankshaft in my 2001 Kawasaki STX 900 and have a question about the two seals on the coupler side that fit together and are packed with grease: The inner of the two seals has a ring around it and fits into the crankshaft groove. but the outer seal that pushes up against it has no ring around it to fit in a groove. My question is, does the tension spring that is on one side of this seal point outward toward the coupler or inward toward the engine?
