Default 2001 STX 900 Flywheel oil

Does anyone know the quantity of two stroke oil that should be maintained in the magneto/flywheel cavity on a 2001 Kawasaki STX 900? I have a service manual for this unit and it does not state the amount.

I'm thinking around 200ml.

Thanks,

Larry

That flywheel should be dry. If you are getting oil in flywhee area, you either have a front seal leaking or someone hes mistaken the inspection plug for a fill hole.

Thanks for your response!

I completely rebuilt the ski and wasn't sure about whether or not I had to add oil. I didn't add any oil but I did grease the gears.

I was confused over this one because the Ultra 150's do take oil (200ml up front and 20ml in the rear) for the balancers.

Yes it is since the engine's cylinders sit at a 45 degree angle! But it is really fast and it is a nice looking machine.
