Recently bought a 1989 kawasaki 650 sx (and someone else's problems) haha

took it out a few weeks ago and it ran great, it sat around for a few weeks and on my next time going out riding it didnt go so well

jet ski would start but would not go over 5 miles an hour at full throttle, eventually died for good and ended up swimming back to shore

ive been told it could need a new starter, new crankshaft, ground wire done a different way, or an exhaust leak.

anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong with it?

Check compression and spark for both cylinders. My feelings lean toward the carb.

Carb is clean... it's the craziest thing. Put the battery on a charger while I went out to get a compression test kit... came back to a fried battery lol, next one will be here wednesday lol. Think this could have anything to do with the starter?
