I got this jetski project, and am not sure where these wires go and what they're for. There are 3 different sets. I assume one set is for engine kill, but not sure of the other 2 sets. The lower one just has wire nuts covering the 2 wires, so they aren't doing anything at the moment. Would like to know what they are supposed to be for. Thanks

I rebuild Yamaha and Kawasaki jetskis but haven't had many electrical problems. To track down where all of the wires go, you'll probably need a service manual. Service manuals can be purchased on Ebay.....electronic manual for around $10.00 and a paper manual for around $30.00.

thanks for your reply, but I disaggree. Anyone who has ever owned a Kawi 440 should EASILY be able to identify those wires. These things are not that complicated. This is my first jet ski and have only had it 1 day. I'm shocked no one has answered.

If you want to see all the wires that are located in the electric box, you can go to an OEM supplier like kawasakipartshouse.com and enter the information for your ski! You can then see all the parts in the box which are all numbered with description and cost below the diagram. Maybe this will help!! {:O)

I think I might have seen what your wires are on Ebay. Go to Ebay and type the following to see if it's the start switch: Kawasaki jet ski start switch, part # 27010-3004

ok, I think I may have found the answer to my own question. Found a guy locally who seems to know his stuff. He thinks my 440 has an electrical box from a 550. And those lower wires are for a rev limiter that the 550s had. (no need on my 440 which is why they are capped) Can anyone confirm this?

That might be the case. Go back to the OEM diagrams and look at the differences. The 550 looks more like the box you have. The 440 has it under electrical box while the 550 has it under ignition coil.
