I don't ride Kawasakis, just race against them. I can tell you that 300x geys most of its more horse power from a big EATON twin screw supercharger. The Ultra 250 vs the 260 is more than likely tuning. But again I am not a Kawasaki rider and never will be.

ok thanks so is the super charger bigger or different on the 300x compared to the 250/260x?
the reason i ask is that as the moment there are a couple of 250x's forsale (in New Zealand) and they are half the money a second hand 300x is, and as im not going to be using the hull just the running gear i wondered were the difference is in the motors?
and how hard is it to make a 250x motor a 300x?

the running gear will be used in a mini jet boat, so top speed is not important but hole shot is and to be honest a 15f motor would be fine but super charged would be better!!!
going down stream in river last weekend with a new boat and standard 15f motor we got 68mph on the gps so in a river thats plenty fast enough but the "holeshot with a 250x would be even better.
here is a you tube link to what we do if anyones interested the boats on these vids are twin and triple 2strokes
cheers ben
