Default 2005 kawasaki stx 12f bad piston recommendations

Hi I have a 2005 kawasaki stx 12f with a bad piston on the number 2 cylinder. I am not sure if you can hone the cylinder wall if damaged. This is my plan. I am planning on replacing the one stock piston only. I will weigh it to make sure all pistons are within specs. I plan on putting new rings on all the other pistons. I am going to check the fuel injectors to see if this fuel injector is working correctly and also checking the fuel screen. Is it OK to replace one piston instead of all 4 if they are all the same type and compression being close to each other. I have rebuilt some car engines and we always weigh each pistons to make sure they weigh the same. I know kawasaki used some special coated sleeves and I am not sure if they can be honed or not. Does anyone know for sure. Ski has been great and I believe a bad injector caused the damage. Anything else I should check for now that the motor is apart. No bent rods and valves are good.

Unhappy 2005 Kawasaki stx 12f

Hi Everyone I tore down the motor today on my kawasaki. I found the number cylinder piston had a crack in the middle of the piston. I still trying to find out if I can hone the cylinders on these skis. My mechanic recommended replacing all four pistons with Weisco pistons and rings. We are planning on replacing rod bearing and main bearings, timing chain, oil filter and new gaskets of course. The theory is that the motor will be like new then. I plan on keeping the ski since I like it. I just need to find out about honing the cylinders. I don't know if this is the best plan. My buddy said the pistons in my stock kawasaki where not the best pistons to use. He believes that Weisco pistons are better for the ski and it was my suggestion to replace the rod and main bearings, timing chain as well. Not sure if there is anything else we should check out. The motor is completely torn down now. We had to do a complete tear down to get to the one piston. I think it would be stupid to do only one piston. But the same question keeps coming up. Does the block have to get the cylinder wall refinished or can I just install new pistons and rings. I know Kawasaki are bit different from other ski. Maybe someone with motorcycle knowledge will know. Any information is helpful. Please help me out.
