Default Zxi 1100

hey guys im new to the forum, i recently just purchased a 96 zxi 1100. everything seems to be running fine with the ski, but when i feel the cylinders the #1 cylinder is significantly hotter than the other 2 (40 degrees). i have not run it in the water yet, but frankly im afraid to. i bought a 98zxi 1100 last year, and ended up blowing the motor up. so im hesitant about doing the same to this one. is it normal for the #1 to be hotter than the back 2? or is this a problem? does anyone have any ideas? thanks!
