Default jet pump removal question

hey guys im taking my jet pump off on my js440 so i can sand blast it and im running into problems

i already have the nozzle off along with steering linkage and the 4 bolts that hold it on. i have all the silicone that was on there broken away from the jet pump and it seems to be sitting free and wiggling pretty good inside the bottom of the jetski.

but when i go to pull the jet pump out the back away from the impeller its stuck. i cant get the dam thing to slideout even a fraction of an inch. what am i doing wrong?
