I have a 900zxi. Went out riding this weekend, was cleaning out the engine when I noticed the water coming out of the impeller was much more clearer than the water coming out the exhaust port. I know that the exhaust has oil and hydorcarbons, but my question is that the water looked almost like tea. Is this normal? The ski does smoke when revved, kinda thought this was normal two-stroke behavior but maybe Im wrong.

Sounds normal to me. The exhaust is dirty, especially on a 2 stroke so I cannot think of a reason why the water coming out of your exhaust would be clear in color?
