Default Power issue JS550

I have recently put on a new head gasket, and rebuilt the carburator. When it starts on land it idles fine. and you can rev the throttle for a second with no issues but it eventually cuts out and dies. Once it dies it takes a few turns of the starter to get it to fire again. Any ideas??

Not sure what you mean. It sounds right. A little rev to get it going then it idles fine for maybe 10 seconds then cuts like its out of gas but its not.

There is no Tach and i dont have one to measure it. It sounds perfect until just a few seconds later it cuts out.

You need to see what rpm's your ski is idling at first because that could be your problem if it is slightly too low.
