Hey Guys
I have a 1992 Kawasaki 750 sx and the motor blew last summer. I got a rebuild kit and started to rebuild. I was going to put new sleeves in and then bore them out, as the new pistons are larger than stock however someone told me that the cylinders could be pressed out if you run beeds of weld on the inside. Long into short, Kawasaki casts the cylinders in to the casting ( not pressed in) so i messed it all up. Im gunna buy a knew cylinder casting and have a machine shop put the new sleeves in and bore them to fit the new pistons, however i cannot find anyone that will do this. Does anyone know of any Repair shops for jetskis that do engine work in the chicago suburbs?? Is putting new sleeves in and boring them out to fit the pistons a good idea??
