Unhappy newbie help with starting a 95 zxi750

the motor turns fine but it wont start unless i spray starter fluid in the carb is this a sign something needs to be replaced because now its not starting at all. Also it has a small oil leak and a kawasaki dealer said its nothing serous yet but he said it looks like the line coming off the oil pump. any help? i really appreciate it. thanks

I just had the oil line pop off my 750 ss. wasn't a major problem just had to rebuild the entire engine at about $900 due to the oil line coming off the pump.
Anyways do a compression test on it if under 100lbs rebuild top end.
denniskirk.com buy the kit $200 Take cylinder to machine shop before you order your oversize. topend is super easy to rebuild.
