Default Pretty sure i got a serious problem

Hey guys
new member to the forum, got a question..

Was riding my 09 kawasaki 250x, and it started running bad...Get it to the gas dock, pop the seat off and Bam, a butt load of water inside the engine compartment..

It wasnt to the valve cover but the lower half of the motor is submerged...Yankin it out now, but what are some potential issues on this..
The plugs were in so i know that wasnt the issue, its comin from somewhere else

Thanks again
Miles

Were your drain plugs in tight?

^^ yeh they were in tight, well we drained it all out, no water in the oil, put it back in, fired right up, did 70mph again, brought it back to the dock, started slowly filling back up again..Everything looks fine, will do some more searching today..

Put it in the water and let it sit with your seat off and then look and see where the water is coming in at. If that does not work, then it has to be through the cooling system. If that is the case, turn the motor on first, then hook up a garden hose to it and turn it on then go back and see if any of your seals are bad or what is leaking.

Sounds like your exhaust is leaking. Check all the connections to make sure they are tight inside the ski. Look around all the water lines and near your waterbox in the back! post your results. If you dont find anything, check your hull for cracks!!
