Default 85 JS440 Electrical Issues

This is my first post, so bear with me. I have a 1985 JS440. While riding it, a couple magnets came unglued from the flywheel. Surprisingly, not much damage was done to the stator. I got new magnets and glued them back in, probably not the best idea. After getting the motor back together, I have spark, compression and fuel, but no firing. Not even if I put a little gas in the cylinders. Is it possible that it's not firing at the correct time. Does anyone know how to check if it's firing at the correct time? No adjustments were made to the electrical system, and it was running fine before the magnets fell off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
