STX1100 (1997 model)Every once in awhile, maybe once or twice per season. Activating the system with the magnetic key will turn on the Display but cannot get starter to turn over. Is there some electric component/connection that is not working properly. Anyone have similar experience.

Check the selenoid. If you look at the electronics box you will see where the battery goes in and a red wire comes out to the starter. You can jump the two terminals. If it cranks then there is a good chance the selenoid is bad.

I Opened the electronics box and found water had gotten in and corroded the starter solanoid. Will replace this weekend.
